*ENG* Out of respect for the sacredness of the place, we kindly ask that attire covers the knees, shoulders, and décolletage. If your outfit leaves the shoulders uncovered, we encourage you to use a shawl or wrap to help maintain the solemnity of the Mass. The priests uphold the dignity of the liturgy and may request appropriate adjustments to clothing or, if necessary, ask you to leave the chapel.

*ENG* Our wedding ceremony will take the form of a traditional Holy Mass in the Tridentine Rite, also known as the classical Roman Rite, which was celebrated for centuries until the liturgical reforms of the 20th century. This form of liturgy dates back to the early days of Christianity and represents a profound expression of faith and the spiritual richness of the Catholic Church.
O Mszy Świętej na Naszym Ślubie
Najpierw odbędzie się ceremonia zaślubin, podczas której złożymy sobie przysięgę małżeńską. Po niej nastąpi Msza Święta, która będzie ofiarowana w intencji naszego małżeństwa. Całość może potrwać około 1,5 godziny. W odróżnieniu od nowoczesnych celebracji, tradycyjna Msza Święta charakteryzuje się łacińskim językiem liturgii, skierowaniem kapłana w stronę ołtarza oraz głęboką symboliką gestów i modlitw. Części stałe są po łacinie, natomiast czytanie, ewangelia jest tłumaczona w trakcie kazania. Jeśli nigdy nie uczestniczyliście w takiej Mszy, zachęcamy do zapoznania się z jej przebiegiem, aby lepiej ją zrozumieć i w pełni przeżyć tę wyjątkową chwilę.
*ENG* The ceremony will begin with the exchange of our marriage vows. This will be followed by the Holy Mass, which will be offered for the intention of our marriage. The entire celebration is expected to last around 1.5 hours. Unlike modern celebrations, the traditional Holy Mass is characterised by the use of Latin in the liturgy, the priest facing the altar, and the rich symbolism of its gestures and prayers. The ordinary parts of the Mass are in Latin, while the reading and the Gospel are translated during the homily. If you’ve never attended a Mass in this form before, we warmly encourage you to familiarise yourself with its structure in advance, so you can better understand and fully experience this special moment with us.

We encourage you to read through a missal, which will help you follow the structure of the liturgy. It’s also worth watching recordings of the traditional Holy Mass to better understand its flow and meaning. If you’re not familiar with the Latin liturgy, we recommend looking at a translation of the fixed parts of the Mass. Everyone will receive a copy of the missal before the ceremony.
